This green impeller (Jabsco part #:6303-0107) is the latest generation wakeboard ballast impeller from Jabsco, designed specifically for use in all Jabsco 18220 Ballast Puppy pumps powering automated wakeboard ballast system. This is the OEM impeller for MasterCraft, Correct Craft (Air Nautique), Supra, Moomba, Yamaha, and Centurion and others.
If you've been having problems with your system draining or filling correctly, or if water is leaking into or out of the tanks or bags while the pumps are turned off, replacing your existing impeller with a new green compound impeller will solve all of your problems. The green compound impeller is also a replacement for the now discontinued black and yellow compound impellers, so if you're replacing one of those older impellers, this is the part you want.
Impellers are a wear item, so over time, the efficiency of the pump will be reduced as the compound of the impeller breaks down. That means your wakeboard ballast system will take longer to fill and drain than it did when newer. Replacing a damaged or worn out impeller will restore the speed and functionality of your Jabsco Ballast Puppy pump to like new condition. If you have an original Jabsco Ballast Puppy with a black rubber or yellow neoprene impeller this is a great upgrade you can make to increase the speed and functionality of your system.
If you've installed additional bags on top of your factory hard tank ballast system (as is popular in Mastercraft and Nautique wakeboard boats) then this upgrade is essential in order to ensure that both the tank and bag will fill completely, and stay full while wakesurfing and wakeboarding.
MasterCraft Jabsco Ballast Puppy Pump Impeller Replacement Instructions:
Step 1: Remove two of the front cover screws. (Note: Retain the screws for the reinstallation process) Swing the cover up and out of the way to allow access to the impeller location. the impeller may be black, yellow or green depending on the age of the pump.
Step 2: Using needle-nose pliers, pull the old impeller out of the casing.
Step 3: Install the new impeller. (It is intentionally larger than the case. While gently squeezing it in, ensure that the paddle wheels angle in the same direction--counterclockwise--all the way around.)
Step 4: Slide the plate back into place. NO SEALANT IS NECESSARY due to the built-in gasket, tightening the screws should prevent leakage.

Installed in minutes, great price!
Removed old shredded impeller and replaced with the new impeller in minutes on my 2005 Mastercraft X80. I will be keeping a couple spare ones on the boat just in case but don't expect the new ones to need to be replaced anytime soon.
Easy to install. Now I have a few spares on the boat.
My pump stopped working. I replaced the impeller and now it's good as new. This was an easy fix. I now carry 2 spares on my boat in case I need them.
Replaced the old black impeller because it kept sticking and blowing a fuse. Haven't had an issue since changing over to new green impeller on my Johnson pump.
Easy to install and Works Perfect
Perfect fit in my 2005 Mastercraft. Easy to install and works great!
Fast Shipping, Great product
This product is just amazing, i didn't change my original since I bought my boat in 2007 and my ballast pump works like a new one now. The water fills much faster !!
Shipping took 2 days to comes in my mail box in Canada.
fast shipping, great product
Ordered online, was in my mailbox in two days. Haven't put water through them yet, but they seem far better material than the ones I took out.
And I finally figured out why it took so long to fill my tanks!
Always keep a spare
I keep a spare impeller on the boat all the time. It only takes a minute to install and a new impeller will drastically reduce the time needed to fill/empty the tanks.
This is a very easy install. I replaced 3 yellow impellers that actually looked fine. Wakemakers had the best price I could find.
Easy to install and Works Excellent
I installed my pumps in minutes it was very easy and now they work with the same power as the first day. Wakemakers has the best Price and fast shipping and now I have my boat back on the water ready to wake. Excellent Service.
I buy a new one of these every year just to be sure. Good durable product.
The impeller was easy to replace and has work great since I replaced it. Wasn't sure which one to get so called before ordering and they were very helpful.
Installed in my pump in less than 5 min. Fast and easy transaction. Worked great first time back on the water.
Great Product and Service
Jabsco greens are a superior product to replace OEM ballast impellers that have gone out, or you are looking to upgrade. WakeMAKERS is great to work with. Thanks.
Great Product, Wakemakers has best price, but still too much $ for an impeller.
I replaced my old black impellers with the green ones 3 years ago. The black ones were completely destroyed. This year my right pump wasn't working. I ordered a replacement impeller. When I replaced the impeller the old one looked fine. I guess the pump was just having a hard time priming as it works fine now. so 3 years of service and counting.
I have accidently let the pumps run dry for upwards of 10 minutes on several occasions, and the impellers have still held up.
Pumps work better than ever!!
Replaced black with yellow about 3 years ago - from dealer at about $40 each. One pump quit working and found all blades gone. Ordered 3 new GREEN impellers from Wakemakers and got them in 2 days. Found a second yellow impeller that was slow was just before failing. So far the new Greenies are pumping great. Thanks Wakemakers for making our Labor Day happy and our wake huge.
Jabsco green impellers
The jabsco green impellers were a perfect match to replace my existing impellers. With new impellers the pumps are working much better.
Moving Water Again
This is the 2nd set of these I have replaced. Now the pumps are back to moving water like they were new!
My Order arrived in an Awesome 3 days!
Much better than my yellow ones. A great way to refresh your system!
Great Product and Easy Installation
Took less than 15 minutes to swap all three of my impellers. Even rotated one of the pumps so the motor is facing up now to prevent water from burning up the pump motor. Best price on the internet I could find too!
Best price on the web. Old impellers had lost suction...........replaced with Jabsco and now faster than ever.
I just got back from my Honeymoon and the boat comes out of storage today! Haven't used the impellers yet but the customer service and quick shipping was by far the best I've seen in a long time (and I order online a lot). I will be a repeat customer!
Had the original black impeller which seized up and would pump slowly. Replaced with the greens and polished out the inside of the pump and it made a huge difference. I think the softer material is easier on pump esp. whe
n ran dry.
Tip for Nautique Owners with Factory Inlet
I have three pumps and inlets on my 2001 Super Sport Nautique. After two seasons, I had to replace the impeller on pump that was plumbed to the original factory ballast system inlet that is "force fed". Trying to empty while the boat was moving wore the impeller out. From now on I won't empty when moving. Other two impellers are in great condition. Hundred hours last season.
Easy install - Works Great - Best Price
I bought three of these to replace the ones in my Jabsco pumps that where not working when I bought my used boat. Installed the impellers and everything works. Installation was very simple. Fill time and drain time improved. This was the best price I found in my search. And the team at Wakemakers provide excellent customer service!
These green impellers are an excellent replacement of your stock Jabsco pump impellers. These are actually less expensive than the stock impellers. They seem to pump faster, and fit perfectly, and last longer. I think they are a great upgrade to anyone ballast system. I will buying another pair for my other two pumps.
Easy replacement, noticeable difference
We started having problems filling and emptying the KGB in our '08 X2. I decided it was time to replace the impellers. Easily swapped out the 3 yellows (which looked fine -- guess you can't tell by looking) for the 3 new greens and wow, fill and empty on the KGB and rear tanks was so fast. Why did I wait so long? Ready for the piggyback sacs now!
Went through black impellers, then yellow and, finally, the green ones. These have worked great for several years and are still going strong.
Better off with Green
I finally switched out my impellers with the the green nitrile impeller by Jabsco. My old ones took so damn long I would end up crushing atleast 5 beers before my ballast was full. The green impellers defiantly made a difference. Now I only crush 2 beers and am sober enough to still ride! Thanks wakemakers!
Best Ballast Impeller Available
The Jabsco Green Impeller is by far the cheapest and best upgrade I have made to my ballast system. I have a 2006 MasterCraft XStar and the pumps were moving water slower and slower every season. I do have the upgraded bags integrated on top of my factory ballast so there is a lot of water that I need moved around. Once I removed the old yellow impellers from the Jabsco Ballast Puppy Pumps and replaced them with the green ones it was a night and day difference. I have been running them for two seasons with no problems. I used to have to change my impellers every single season. Buy one for each pump and a spare for the glove box. You will be stoked!!!!
i run alot of weight with a piggy back system in my 210 san and my sacks no longer leak with the new green impellers also faster filling times couldnt be happier :)
great product and was easy to install, time will tell how it holds up
this product seems to have sped up the filling operations of the two v drive sacs I have it connected to, but I have not actually timed it old vs new impeller.
Pretty good build
This part is a bit softer than the standard black rubber materials that are used on the ballast pump. I ordered one after my center ballast went out and have to order to more as my left and right ballast went out at the same time after 4 seasons of use. The impeller has a pretty good quality build from what it appears to be and was gently greased prior to packaging to ensure sustainability. Not sure how long these will last but hopefully longer than the stock part.
the jabsco greens are the way to go if your factory ballast impellers have gone out, or you are looking to upgrade. my 2006 nastercraft x2 impellers stopped on me and i went with these. i could not be any more pleased with them. they have cut my empty/fill time by at least 50%. the pressure out of the side of the boat when emptying is amazing. the difference to me is like night and day. i highly urge you to go with these and disregard any other impellers. you will thank me if you do!
The black plastic piece in the center of the impeller failed after only a few uses allowing the motor shaft to spin without engaging the impeller. Old black ones were metal. Pretty expensive for a single use item!
NOTE: This is a defect in the impeller, and is covered under warranty if encountered. It effects and extremely small percentage of impellers, but if it does happen contact us and we'll exchange it for free.
New life to my pump!
I forgot how fast my pump could pump until I replaced the impeller. My bags fill up in half the time. This is a maintenance item and should be replaced regularly like the rest of the yearly maintenance items on your boat. Very simple, remove three screws, pull out the old impeller, put in the new one, and reinstall the three screws. It could not be any easier.
Middle hardness works as advertised
Original Puppy only used to fill had black impeller and buildup, was hard, and popped fuses. Tried yellow and my ballast would drain out by itself quickly as it was very soft. Moved to Green and it's inbetween hardness. I upgraded ballast bags from a 750 to 1100 and the Green started leaking. Sanded down the brass on the puppy and went back to black.
On a fill only puppy system, I recommend Black.
I just added another Johnson Ultra Reverse where I'll drain and fill and Green is the best way to go.
Green Mastercraft Impeller
I have having issues with my Mastercraft's Ballast System. It was losing suction and was running really slow so I swapped out the old yellow impellers for the New Green Impellers and what do you know... They did the trick. This is the best upgrade I have done to my boat in a while. It is probably the least expensive option too.
Somewhat better that last flavor
Impeller colors for these pumps seem to change on a yearly basis. The lastest "flavotr" green seems to be the best so far (other colors being black and yellow). I did see a noticable performance imporvement on my KGB tank on my MasterCraft 07 X2. Performance on the back tanks seem to be about the same.
$38 for an impeller is stiff but much better than I've seem at other outlets. Once again Wake Makers leads the way in affordable products to keep us all on the water enjoying our hobbies. I'd love to see them expenad to include other pump maintainance items such as pump shaft seals.
