The Jabsco Wakeboard Ballast Puppy is the standard of choice for wakeboard ballast pumps.

Without a doubt the Jabsco Ballast Puppy is the most popular wakeboard ballast pump in history. It's success is for good reason; the reversible design simplifies installation and reduces the number of components required, and its track record proves it's a reliable performer that is fast and efficient.

With more manufacturers, including Centurion, Mastercraft, Moomba, Nautique and Supra, installing the Jabsco Ballast Puppy than any other ballast pump available, it's obvious this is a great choice for your fully automated ballast system.

If for any reason you need to replace a Jabsco ballast pump that came pre-installed in your boat, the pump we sell is the latest version, and is a direct replacement for all previous models.

Green Nitrile Impeller IncludedPremium Green Nitrile Impeller As the main moving part, the impeller really determines the performance of a reversible wakeboard ballast pump like the Jabsco Ballast Puppy.

That's why every Jabsco Ballast Puppy wakeboard ballast pump that we sell comes pre-loaded with the latest and best impeller Jabsco currently offers. The green Nitrile Premium impeller sells separately for as much as $50, and offers increased speeds, improved durability, and more reliable operation, and it's included for free!

Connect hose directly to the Jabsco Ballast PuppyVersatile, High Volume Connection Options The unique design of the pump head features integrated hose barbs for use with 1" hose, just slide the hose over the bronze inlet and outlet ports and secure with hose clamps.

Additionally, 1/2" NPT female connections are provided for use with smaller hose (use with optional 1/2" thread to 3/4" hose barb adapter to convert to the more common 3/4" hose size), giving you a multitude of connection options.

For the fastest system we recommend using 1" hose.

Features Run-Dry Protection:

The integrated Run-Dry Protection circuit monitors the current draw of the pump and automatically shuts it off if conditions indicate water is no longer flowing through the pump. This innovative feature prevents damage to the impeller.

The ignition protected design makes this pump suitable for installation in the bilge compartment of the boat without risk of fire or explosion due to fuel vapors. This feature alone is crucial for safe operation, and is one important distinguishing factor between the Ballast Puppy and the Simer pump to which it is often compared.

This is the same pump used to fill and drain OEM ballast sytems in Mastercraft Wakeboard Boats, 2009 Supra Wakeboard Boats, 2009 Moomba Wakeboard Boats, Correct Craft Wakeboard boats and Centurion, and many other wakeboard boats. The part number may vary slightly, but this is identical to any pump that begins with 18220, the only difference is the four digit suffix which indicates and OEM application, even though functionally the pump is exactly the same.

    Exact replacement
Ronald This was an exact replacement in my centurion boat which made it easy to install. Fills and empties tanks fast. I just hope this one will last longer than the fist one which only made it 3 years here in Wisconsin were ski season is short. Wake Makers had it and shipped it out fast.

    Easy order and install process
John K I received great technical assistance from WakeMakers on the proper way to install a replacement Jabsco Puppy. The install was straight forward and the pump has been functioning very well so far. I would make sure you understand the pump configuration and the direction of water flow before installing.

    Love this PUMP!
TravBigWaveSurfer42 After having aerator pumps for years I finally decided to build my new ballast system with reversible pumps due to wakemakers suggestion of doing so, lets just say after the install I never looked back!! Having a self priming pumps is amazing, I mounted it where I had space, I didn't have two install two pumps since its reversible and I am able to overflow to another sac with the added pressure from the reversible pump! Aerators are the past and reversible is the future! I went with the Jabsco since it came with a pre wired switch for convenience and it was easier to change the impeller over the Johnson.

Wakemakers website was easy to navigate and has everything you need in one stop. I thought about parting out my system but at the end of the day wake makers was cheaper and faster. Also I know they have the customer service to go along with it, I have purchased pumps from other companies before and when I called to trouble shoot a problem they basically knew nothing, wakemakers actually uses and knows what they sell, most knowledgeable people in the industry! Thanks again WM

    Great Pump
Jason This is a great product and is standard on many boat manufactures stock ballast systems. If you have version that is a few years old think about getting new impellers as they wear over time. This pump has been a product that I have not worried about if it will work or not, they work well.

    Love the Jabsco Ballast Pumps
MalibuVLX Guy I added another ballast system for surfing in my Malibu VLX and since I wanted it to be fast and easy I went with the Ballast Puppy Pumps. They fill my 750lb. fat sacs in about 6 minutes which is good because my factory system takes about the same time. The nice thing is that they are bullet proof. I would recommend these pumps to anyone that wants an easy to install ballast system.

    Looks great, works, lasts fair
MC X2 For such a high quality looking product I was shocked how quickly this product quit working in my boat.

The failure occurred due to water getting into the motor. The actual culprit was a seal failure in the pump shaft seal which due to the installation placement by MasterCraft allowed the water to flow directly into the motor. Parts to rebuild this pump are very expensive. Pump impellers seem to be upgraded on a yearly basis and come in a variety of colors so be careful that you are getting the "flavor of the year" as upgrading to the latest version will cost you about $35. Other parts such as the pump shaft seals which failed in my pump are hard to find and again are really expensive (about $40 if you can find one). If you plan to run these pumps carry spare impellers, routinely inspect the pump seals for leaks and be prepared for a pump failure when you least expect it.

Performance on this pump is respectable. My only real complaint is in durability and cost of maintenance items. For a pump costing this much I'd expect it to last longer. My boat has 180 hours on it and my pumps are only use occasionally yet I've had to upgrade the impellers twice and already had to replace one of my pumps due to the seal failure hence my one star rating for value.

Wake Makers is the true bright spot of this story. They have excellent customer service, know the products they sell and sell them at a very fair price. They actually saved my vacation by overnighting a new pump to a remote location in Michigan so we could get on with our summer vacation.
