High performance non-return check valve custom designed specifically for use in wakeboard ballast system applications.

Unhappy with metal body swing check valves, clunky threaded connections, and additional restriction common with most check valve fittings, we had this inline non-return check valve designed and built to our specs. There are a wide array of applications for non-return check valves in wakeboard ballast systems, and we have done extensive testing to ensure our new valves will perform in all situations.

The full flow design of these 3/4", 1" and 1-1/8" inline check valve means they don't inhibit the flow of water when open, which makes them ideal for use in ballast systems where volume is paramount. The lightweight, fully composite, design requires no maintenance, will never rust, accepts hose connections directly with no adapters needed, and can be installed at any angle in any position (unlike more common household swing check valves) for the ultimate in installation flexibility.

Simply put, if you need a check valve on your boat, these are the best option available anywhere, and are actually less expensive and perform better than the valves you can buy at home improvement stores.

Common Applications

  • Preventing Siphon Draining: When using an aerator pump in an automated ballast system, installing a check valve between the ballast bag and pump will prevent a siphon from starting, which can completely drain the bags.
  • Drain Above Waterline: When using a flexible vane reversible ballast pump, check valves can also be used to drain ballast bags above the waterline, offering visual and audible indication of when the system is draining.
  • Share One Thru-hull Connector: Another popular application for check valves is to combine the drain or vent line on two ballast bags while isolating them from each other. That prevents water that is being pumped out of one bag from flowing back down into the other while sharing a common thru-hull connector, which reduces the number of holes that have to be drilled in the boat.

This 1" inline check valve fitting is also a direct replacement for Fly High's W753 inline check valve fitting. It functions exactly the same, and almost half the price is a great value.

Creates a secure connection to 1" wakeboard ballast hose using two Stainless Steel Hose Clamps (sold separately, see related products) that will not leak or damage hose.

    Works Great Easy Install
    Marc Williams

I wish I'd know about these years ago. No more water syphoning out of my bags. They are small and fit any where.

    Works great
    John Warndahl

I have a X45 so if you are piggybacking you have to be carful you can tin can your hard tanks. These will keep air from getting in you system and drian you bags flat. And they solved all my problems in my system. I dont see a real need to get the more expensive ones.

    Must Have Item
    John Morris

A little spendy when you're buying a bunch in a single pop but they work perfectly and are a total must-have when plumbing up your ballast setup. If you're like me, you'll be glad you made the small investment every time you're on the water.

    Solved my problem
    Jason Pavlik

Ballast was draining out the fill line while riding on my V-ride and emptying the two rear bags. Installed one on each side of the fill line and no more draining. Works great. I also noticed my bags seem to empty better too as other people mentioned.

    Works Awesome
    Terry Boehmer

Now my bags suck completely flat when I drain them.

Used on my 24 MXZ for rear plug and play sumo 900s and it completely solved my siphon/drainage issue. I can't recommend this item enough.

This valve was recommended to me on a boating forum and it was exactly what I was looking for. My rear locker bags had several gallons of water in them after draining. I added these check valves and now the bags drain almost completely flat.

I installed 4 of these on my boat, one on each bag vent/drain and they work very well. I used to have my ski locker bag inflate with air from driving down the free way and this put an end to that and allow all my bags to get sucked completely down without letting any air in from the vents.

Way better than a ball valve.

    Great check valves
    Travis Pastachak

Works flawlessly on my setup, which automatically fills the bags and when the bags drain, the valves on the vent lines help to completely empty and compress the ballast bag to regain all the storage compartments.

    Great for your vent line
    Jerrod Mills

These check valves are great additions to your vent line. Helps to completely empty the bags at the end of the day. I had a ball valve on the vent line to help with this previously.

Helps keep aerator style pumps from leaking through

Ordered these to use on drain line for two front side sacs. They help keep the bags holding water where before they siphon drained through the pump.

    Great product for the price

Very good quality and priced right!

  • 7/15/2014

Was doing an upgrade from 200 pound hard tanks to 600 bags and was concern about the water draining back out the fill line being its below the bag. These were easy to install, look factory, do the job and at a good price. Trying to find some similar at a cheaper price is a waste of time and the quality may be questionable.

A great replacement from the factory ones !

    work well

I used these too split two vent lines and they stop the return flow if one bag is venting and i want the other empty. Easy to install.

    Great quality

These work great. I used them to setup dual bags with only 1 through-hull for both vents and drain lines. This meant only making one hole in the side of my boat instead of 4. It also allows the bags to empty out as flat as a pancake. Great product but a little expensive since I needed 7 of them.

    Great product for the price

I bought three of these to replace the threaded type check valves on the empty side of our ballast system. They work and look great with the clear 1" house that wakemakers sells. Overall great product for the money...

    Clean look

I didn't want too many fittings on the outside of the boat so I used 3 check valves to install my reversible pump and fat sac. This allowed me to use one vent/drain thru hull and one intake thru hull. It also cleans up the look by not having as much hose everywhere in the boat. Also with a check on the vent line it really sucks the bag dry and there is no water or air left in the bag when done draining.

  • 4/28/2013
    They work excellent.

Purchased few of these check valves, installed on vent lines on bags as well as bilge pump lines to prevent back flow. The valves work excellent. No more taking on water from bilge drains while surfing!

  • 6/17/2012
    A must have for moomba

If you are having an issue with draining when splitting 2 lines this is what you need! Works like it should.

  • 4/4/2012
    Works as advertised

Bought 2 to use on my shared drain and vent line. It keeps the drain line from back filling into the vent line like a champ.

  • 7/7/2011
does exactly what it's supposed to

I had a problem with rear bags auto-draining. With these check valves on my fill lines, that problem is a thing of the past. No perceptible increase in fill times either.

Gets the job done with minimal reduction in flow

Just blowing through these I could tell that they weren't very restrictive. I did a bit of testing with some buckets and an 800 GPH Tsunami pump and it reduced flow by about 0.35 GPM or 8.1% in my particular test scenario. Not sure how that will translate to different flow rates though.

    Hose clamps / stainless

Installed 4 puppy pumps and 4 fly-high bags, and had A LOT of hose clamps to deal with. The ones wakemakers supplied are unfortunately to light weight to handle the stiffness of the hose required. I would upgrade to the thicker band / bigger nut-screw.
