2021 Phase 5 Asym Port Wakesurf Board

Inspired by ocean "Asymmetrical" surfboard designs for riding point break style waves, Phase 5 welcomes the Asym's. Wakesurfing is essentially the same as riding a point break wave. The rider is constantly on a comparable ocean "left" or "right". In the case of wakesurfing behind a boat, we call it "Port", or "Starboard". The concept is simple. The Phase 5 Asym Wakesurf Boards are designed specifically for riding one side of the boat to gain performance a traditional symmetrical shape can't.
The longer rail on both of the Asym's is designed for quick response and speed back into the wave. The rounded portion of the tail allows for powerful carves and blows off the top of the wave. Re-entry recovery from aerial maneuvers and tricks is accelerated by the unique asymmetrical shape.
The extended rounded nose allows the rider to gain more range in carves and turns from the top to bottom of the wave. Carves back towards the wave are faster than on a traditional shape. Schwacks and top turns are more controlled with the rounded tail and the extra rail length in the nose.
The Phase 5 Asym Port Wakesurf Board is designed to ride on the Port side of the boat but doesn't care if you're a regular or goofy rider. Both stances will benefit from the design aspects that make it a port side wakesurf board.
