Hyperlite's Shaun Murray and Greg Nelson teamed up to design a board for riders looking to advance their skills on the wake. With a few decades of riding and teaching between the two of them, we're pretty confident they know what they're talking about!
The 2020 Hyperlite Baseline has an overall wider profile built atop a continuous rocker, delivering a smooth carving board that gets more pop off the wake with its increased surface area. The variable edge design is more forgiving between the inserts then sharpens towards the tip and tail to provide a strong edge hold - necessary for generating speed into the wake. With the idea that "less is more, the center of the base is clean, creating a smooth ride and softer landings, and the dual tunnels easily allow water to enter and exit at the Baseline's tip and tail.
