Go Surf Assist is a retrofittable aftermarket surf system that fits on nearly any inboard boat and delivers modern wake shaping technology for an improved surf wave and OEM appearance.
Introducing the first aftermarket solution for a fully automated, retrofittable wakesurf system. Bring the convenience and performance of factory systems to the boat that you already own. Instantly switch the surf wave from side to side with the push of a button. Easily adjust the shape of the wave with the trim dial located on the controller faceplate.
GSA comes standard with an industry-leading 3-year warranty.
Named to Boating Industry's Top Products
Go Surf Assist was recognized by Boating Industry as one of the top new marine products for its innovation, impact on the industry, and advancing the surf device category. The first retrofittable automatic wakesurf system is changing the game by delivering today's technology to older model boats.
Evenly Weight Your Boat
Go Surf Assist is designed to produce optimal results when working with an evenly weighted boat. Utilize all the ballast inside your boat for a bigger wave while allowing passengers to sit freely throughout the boat. Gone are the days of piling everyone uncomfortably on one side and filling only ballast bags on that side in order to "list" the boat.
Convenient Transfers
Switch sides instantly with the push of a button or the GSA app. No wasted time switching the wave from regular to goofy-footed riders as it only takes under three seconds to switch the side the wave is on. Surfers can also make wave transfers while riding.
An Easier, More Enjoyable Driving Experience
This wakesurf system is designed to improve the overall handling of your boat while pulling wakesurfers versus listing the boat. Evenly weighting the boat keeps the hull nearly level for improved driver's vision and eliminating listed turns. The boat's captain will surely appreciate the convenience, safety, and comfort of wakesurfing with Go Surf Assist.

Our Take

These surf wave photos are from our old 2004 Malibu 23LSV boat that has Go Surf Assist installed on it. GSA was an absolute gamechanger for this boat and its wakesurfing performance. The boat's hull design creates a great weight but getting the boat to surf well was difficult before outfitting it with Go Surf Assist. Now with the push of a button, it instantly throws an impressive surf wake that rivals the current 23' boats on the market today. The ability to evenly weight the boat lets us use all the ballast in the boat for a bigger wave and it drives much easier than 'listing' the boat like the old days. Being able to easily switch sides for regular and goofy footed riders is a huge convenience that saves us lots of time and trying instant transfers while surfing has been a fun challenge for everyone.
If you love the boat you already own boat but are looking to get the convenience and performance of today's surf boats, Go Surf Assist is the solution. It unleashed the full potential of our 23LSV and has made our wakesurf experience exponentially better.

A worthy investment
Installed on a 2012 Axis A22. I have tried making my own suction cup surf gate, wooden surf gate, listing the boat and this is on another level. After over a year of use in salt water, this system has held up and impressed everyone who surfs it. The wedge is a must when using the tabs and a little more weight in the rear and the wave is amazing. Also, the plaining feature (Launch Mode) works great. Both tabs deploy then once up to speed they automatically pull up and dramatically reduces the time and gas involved to get a fully weighted boat on plane. Overall very pleased with the purchase. Much cheaper than buying a new boat equipped with a surf system. My wave definitely competes with a friends 2017 23LSV with surf gates similarly weighted.

This system is a game changer!!
I thought my Ronix Eight.3 Velcro wedge produced a nice solid wave. After installing the GSA system on my 2010 LSV 23, I couldn’t believe how much bigger the wave looked and felt. It is an absolute game changer. I’ve only had it out a few times, but I'm very happy with this system so far. The ballast set up I use is fill all stock hard ballasts and I have 1140’s in the lockers that I have full if the boat is empty but drain it down anywhere from 1/2 to 3/4 if the boat is full of people. I haven’t played with the power wedge and GSA together yet. I haven’t had to; the wave is incredible enough already. The recovery distance is about 20 feet from the platform, and back there it still feels nice and hard. The Playing room on the wave increased a couple of feet for bigger carves, but the cherry on top was transferring from side to side. That has been the biggest improvement I’ve ever done to my boat. Hands down. Makes my 2010 feel like a 2018. In fact, had it out last weekend and two brand new surfboats approached me to ask what I had for ballast and was using to make that wave.
The installation process was pretty straightforward. The installation instructions I got from GSA could have been a little more detailed. The online video instructions were great though. GSA did not provide a template for the tabs, but if you talk to wakemakers, they are very helpful with that. If there were anything I would like to see adjusted or made an option it would be to have longer battery terminal wires coming from the harness to the control module. The ones provided are long enough to reach a battery terminal bus under the dash somewhere but not long enough to be mounted directly to the perco switch on my boat (switch on the port side under dash). I had to steal power from the buses under the dash which is fine but it would be a great option to be able to directly mount the wires.
All in all, I am a very happy customer. The product is great, The wave is absolutely amazing, and the team at Wakemakers have been great to work with. I’d give ten stars if I could.

Asked Nov 26, 2018 8:29:00 AMWhat is needed to install this system on a 2004 X-star?Answered Nov 26, 2018 2:41:00 PMTony, you will need to choose the XStar specific tab options on the GSA product and then get a set of MasterCraft Swim Platform Brackets to lift up your swim deck so that the tabs have enough clearance. Providing a link to that product page: https://www.wakemakers.com/wavecontrol-mastercraft-swim-platform-bracket.html

Asked Dec 30, 2018 7:40:00 AMHi there I have a mastercraft x2 2005 and wondered if the device works on my boat, I bought the mission delta earlier this year but like the easier to use and operate version with the tabs. I live in the uk and wondered how long shipment would be also. CheersAnswered Jan 2, 2019 1:10:00 PMHi Jason,
Yes the GSA system absolutely works for your Mastercraft X2! Typically shipment to the UK is about 5-9 days. -
Asked Feb 3, 2019 8:35:00 AMWhat kind of switch does this system come with? Are you able to switch surf sides with a single touch or do you have to raise and lower the opposite sides manually? Are the switches electronic or are they just momentary rockers?Answered Feb 4, 2019 8:59:00 AMGreat questions Ross,
The GSA system is completely automated and everything is adjusted with a touch of a button. A four button faceplate with a potentiometer is included with this surf upgrade system. You can switch sides within four seconds and also adjust the wave shape with a turn of the dial. GSA also includes a GPS antenna that will automatically retract the system if it is deployed and you are traveling over 15mph. Or you just need some extra help getting on plane. If you have any questions never hesitate to customer advocate team for more info. -
Asked Feb 19, 2019 1:57:00 PMhas anyone tried go surf assit on a Chaparrel vortex 2430 jet boat ?Answered Feb 20, 2019 8:52:00 AMHi Gary,
This is an excellent and common question I would be happy to answer. The GSA system, unfortunately, is not designed to smooth out the turbulence still caused by the jets coming directly out of the stern. Something would need to be in place directly blocking the flow of water from the jet the rider is surfing on. If you do have any other questions on solutions for your jet boat, please contact our support team at 888-338-6085. -
Asked Feb 23, 2019 3:59:00 PMI have a 2003 Sanger V210. Would this be a good move for a boat this age? It's in very good condition and we'd really like to outfit for surfing with ballast, etc. but I'm concerned that maybe the draft isn't enough. I'd also like to see if you had any recommendations on who I'd get to install it.Answered Feb 25, 2019 9:14:00 AMHi Mitchell,
The GSA system would be an excellent addition to any boat of any age. That was the entire premise of this design, to help boaters fall back in love with their original boat. We do offer fitment templates that can be emailed in PDF form and can be printed off at home. If you would like any assistance with help finding an installer, please contact our customer advocate team, and we will be happy to assist you. 888-338-6085

Asked Feb 27, 2019 10:40:00 AMI have a 2008 Nautique SV211 TEAM ...a v-drive "crossover". I believe the GSA system will work well for surfing, which seems to be all the kids want to do. I still love to slalom ski, and while decent with the center liftgate in "Slalom" mode (down), I would love to be able to make the wake even flatter and wonder if deploying trim tabs to slightly lift the back would flatten the wake. Since the GSA system is essentially trim tabs, could I deploy both slightly (and equally on both sides) to lift the back end, and if so, do you think this might flatten the wake? Thank you for your response.Answered Feb 28, 2019 9:58:00 AMHi Bill,
This is an excellent question; I am glad you asked. The GSA tabs are not just a "tab" system. The GSA tabs are a patented design with a down-turning edge to derive water to the side of the boat. It does not flatten the wake; it enhances it. The GSA is not designed to be deployed above 15mph; the GPS system feature would automatically retract the tabs above the water line. The design of this surf system is much more than tabs like other competitors. -
Asked Mar 14, 2019 6:17:00 PMI have a Tige RZ2 2009. Is there feedback for this surf system installation on my boat? Seems to be a game changer! I am using two Mission Delta's right now with 3,000lbs of ballast and it to surfs well.Answered Mar 15, 2019 3:49:00 PMThe GSA has been proven many times over with many different Tige models. This system would work great for your boat. Please email support@wakemakers.com directly for fitment templates or more installation information.

Asked Apr 2, 2018 10:16:00 AMDoes Go Surf Assist impact the performance of the boat in any way when not surfing?Answered Apr 2, 2018 1:05:00 PMHi Jason,
Excellent question about one of our newest products Go Surf Assist. The quick answer is no it will not impact any performance on your boat when not in use. When the tab system is not in use, they will fully retract up out of the water tucked under the swim platform. If you have any other questions feel free to call us at our toll-free number 888-338-6085. -
Asked Jun 25, 2019 8:16:00 AMWill this work on a 2000 Malibu 23lsv Escape? I'm looking to lengthen the wave and get more push.Answered Jun 26, 2019 12:25:00 PMUnfortunately with the limited amount of space in the transom and slide in swim platform it would not be possible.

Asked Jul 29, 2019 10:54:00 AM2004 Moomba XLV. I have limited space in my garage, I have to remove the swim platform to store. How far does this product extend past the back of the boat?Answered Jul 30, 2019 8:21:00 AMThe GSA tabs would extend at least 15" inches from the back of the transom.
-
Asked Oct 31, 2019 9:01:00 AMCan I purchase just the GSA tabs only and not the entire upgrade solution?Answered Oct 31, 2019 9:02:00 AMGo Surf Assist is sold as a complete unit; it cannot be broken apart. To ensure the best performance from your GSA upgrade, the components need to be paired together.

Asked Jul 3, 2018 4:01:00 PMwhat happens if you install and dont see a difference? is it returnable?Answered Jul 5, 2018 9:24:00 AMHi Zach,
The GSA system is a proven product that will increase the surfing experience behind any tournament boat. But, I would urge you to consult one of our product experts before making a purchase to verify your tournament boat is compatible with the GSA upgrade. Some smaller boats do not have enough surface area in the transom for the system. We can offer references from other installs or customers with a similar boat before purchasing. -
Asked Jul 9, 2018 10:55:00 AMIt appears from the pictures that this system goes "downwards" from the back of the boat. Other factory systems and velcro / suction cup systems go on the side of the boat. Just curious why this works, or if the picture is misleading?Answered Jul 9, 2018 11:28:00 AMHey Darryl, great question. The Go Surf Assist Aftermarket Wakesurf System attaches to the transom of the boat and deploys down using the actuator tabs. MasterCraft, Nautique, and several other boat manufacturers use this same style of surf system instead of the gates/devices on the side of the boat. Different styles but produce the same results.

Asked Jul 30, 2018 8:31:00 PMWill this system work on a 2005 Air Nautique Team Edition? I am really need ing to figure out a way to get a good wake on the right side.Answered Jul 31, 2018 8:12:00 PMThe Go Surf Assist has been installed on that generation of SAN boats. Go Surf Assist does have a fitment template that you can print out to ensure compatibility with your specific year, make, and model boat.

Asked Aug 12, 2018 6:07:00 PMIs this system compatible for a 2008 centurion Air Warrior falcon V?Answered Aug 13, 2018 9:05:00 AMHey Stephen, the GSA system is compatible on nearly any inboard boat. We do have a fitment template that we can email you. All you have to do is print it out and put it on the transom of your boat to ensure compatibility.
-
Asked Aug 24, 2018 10:51:00 AMwill this work on an inboard outboard?Answered Aug 24, 2018 11:29:00 AMThis product is designed to work solely on inboard boats (v-drive and direct-drive). We would not recommend wakesurfing behind any I/O due to the inherent safety risks of the rider's close proximity to the exposed prop.
-
Asked Sep 26, 2018 12:22:00 PMHas this been installed on a 2006 Moomba Outback V? is it a viable solution to switching side to side and not using a wake shaper?Answered Oct 1, 2018 10:58:00 AMHi Jimmy, the GSA is compatible on nearly any inboard boat. We don't have record of each boat model and year this system has been installed on but we do know there are several Moomba boats using this surf system. We do have fitment templates available that you can easily print at home to verify the system will fit - we'll email those over to you right away!
