Create a better surf wake behind your current boat. The MISSION Delta Universal Wakesurf Device is an aftermarket product designed to deliver modern wakesurf technology to older model boats.
MISSION Boat Gear's Delta Universal Wakesurf System is the newest aftermarket wakesurf system to hit the market. Similar to the Eight.3 Surf Shaper, this surf device is removable and can attach to nearly any direct drive or v-drive boat.
The geometry of the MISSION Delta creates proven results. The contoured front panel and engineered side vents generates optimal turbulence on side opposite of the surf, unleashing the potential of your boat’s surf wave performance.
Wakesurf devices that use a larger, flatter panel put more stress on the boat which causes steering difficulties, increases fuel consumption, and splashing without further increasing the boat’s wave performance.
The Delta features a proprietary reversible design that offers versatility for attaching to the boat’s ‘sweet spot’ and optimizing surf wave performance. Normal orientation is used most of the time, especially for v-drive boats filled with a good amount of ballast. The reversed orientation works great for direct-drive inboard boats or complex boat hulls that require the wakesurf device to be attached higher, such as MasterCraft X2’s or X45’s.
Small Is The New Big
Bigger is not always better. Lots of other wakesurf devices hype up that size matters and that a bigger size results in a bigger wave. That is a common myth though in today’s world of wakesurfing.
The compact size packs a serious punch for its size and outperforms bigger wakesurf devices found on the water. Additionally, the innovative shape of the Delta allows it to be perfectly positioned on the ‘sweet spot’ of the boat to deliver the best results. The Delta’s unique shape makes it compatible with almost all inboard boat hulls including concave surfaces found on some Tigé, MasterCraft, and Axis boat models.
High Power Suction Cups
These aren’t your suction cups found at Home Depot. The Delta uses proprietary lofted suction cups that easily conform to curved surfaces, unlike off the shelf glass liftings cups used by most of the cheaper wakesurf devices that are designed to stick to flat surfaces. The superior suction cups used on the Delta also last longer and stand up to the harsh conditions of spending all summer on the water.
Despite all the hype, wakesurf shapers do not actually change the ‘shape’ of your boat’s wake. A wakesurf wave can be described and rated by its height, overall profile, and surfable length. These attributes are influenced by the amount of ballast in the boat, its location, and the boat’s surf speed.
Wakesurf shapers work by disrupting the flow of water on the side of the boat opposite of the surfer by introducing turbulence that diffuses the power that water stream once had. The result is an undisturbed wave on the side the surfer is riding, creating a cleaner, more rideable wave..
