C-Clamp Prop Puller
Remove your prop the easy with this industrial strength traditional style prop puller. Makes easy work of even the most stubborn props so you can get on with enjoying your time on the water, instead of laying on the ground fighting with a stuck prop. The Acme C-Clamp Prop Puller is designed to work with both 3 and 4 blade props with a shaft size of 1" to 1-1/4" in diameter. The maximum opening is 4.5" from the end of the shaft to the back of the prop. If you do not have a Waterski or Wakeboard boat measure the distance before you purchase.
Why You Need ItInboard boats have what is called a tapered shaft, which means the diameter of the prop shaft the propeller sits on gets larger further away from the end. That taper is designed to allow the prop to "seat" on the shaft for better power transmission, as the prop is literally forced further up the shaft when driving the boat forward in the water.
That taper can make it extremely difficult to remove the prop when replacing or exchanging it with a new one. Many people think the prop will simply slide off once the cotter pin and nut have been removed, and are frustrated to find that is not the case, especially when their prop is damaged, and they have a replacement but can't get the ruined one off.
Not having a prop puller to go with your spare prop is akin to having no jack in your car; a spare tire doesn't do you any good if you can't get the old wheel/tire off to replace it.
ACME's c-clamp propeller puller is the highest quality prop puller available, constructed of drop forged aluminum for durability and strength, it's a tool you will buy one time, and use for as long as you own inboard boats.
Due to the nature of this product, we are unable to accept returns. We will gladly honor ACME's 1-year limited warranty by sending a replacement if defects are discovered, but unfortunately, we have had customers take advantage of our return policy on this product after using it, so we no longer accept returns.
Please check the specifications listed to ensure this puller will work for your application; it is sized correctly to work on any standard watersports towboat that uses a 1", 1-1/8" or 1-1/4" shaft. For other applications please measure first. Sorry for the inconvenience, please contact us if you have any questions.

Nice I used that same kit to fix mine thanks!
Helps Avoid Frustration
The prop that was on my '99 Malibu Sunsetter was in dire need of replacing. Yes, this C-Clamp is quite pricey but without this tool, I would have been very frustrated and possibly caused damage to the boat in the process. My advice, just bite the bullet and buy it. This tool is well made and should last you for as long as you own a boat.
I don't know how I would have removed my existing prop without this. There's a great video out there that demonstrates how to use it. Prop change was about a 15 minute job for a first timer with this.
Great tool. Easy to use.
Switched to a lower pitch prop. Took all of 15 minutes to swap propellers. The ACME C-clamp puller made the task of prop removal a snap. Easy to use and no damage to the propeller. The WakeMakers YouTube video got it right. Now the ACME C-clamp is a part of the boat toolbox.
a must have
a must have if you don't want to ruin your shaft.
Worked exactly "as advertised"
The OJ prop on my 2001 Mastercraft had never been removed over the 14 year lifetime of the boat. The boat is stored indoors for the winter well over 100 miles from any facility able to remove the prop, let alone balance and true it. The "C-clamp" worked like a charm and after several attempts it popped the prop right off exactly "as advertised", saving me the unnecessary hassle of hauling the boat several hundreds of miles! If you need to pull a prop yourself this is the only way to go!
Ordered this to Canada along with my new prop and this tool worked seemlessly and came with proper instructions. I attached the tool, snugged up the bolt and tapped the non-bolt end like instructed and the prop came off with no issues!
Expensive but a quality tool
Pops that prop right off in no time. This tool will last longer than I will, I'm sure. Well made.
Works as advertised
Worked as it should.
Did the trick. Tighten the puller on the driveshaft, but do not use the bolt to remove the prop. A couple of taps with a hammer on the rear of the puller, and off it came. Worked perfectly.
Looks like exactly what I am looking for!
The right tool for the job
I have tried to be cheap and wasted hours trying to get my prop off and worried about damaging my boat every time, then paid the dealer to remove the prop a few times. What a waste of time. Just get the right tool for the job and call it a day. This is the tool. Works great, nice and easy and super well made so I'll have it forever.
Great replacement prop
Got this to replace the prop on my 2004 Malibu Wakesetter XTI. Has tons of power but still great top speed. Totally happy and glad we didn't get a prop with more pitch, not needed.
Not Just a C Clamp, It's a Prop Puller
I must admit that I thought the Acme C-Clamp was just another Home Depot tool that I probably have in the garage. That was until I tried to get my prop off. This is by far the most important tool to put under your seat. I have used mine every year for the past 4. Our season is getting longer which means more stuff to hit during the high water months. This thing has saved me too many times to count. I bought mine in the Acme Weekend Saver Kit but thought this was a more appropriate spot for my review. Friends don't let friends waste valuable time off the water.
I sucked it up and bought this tool a month or to ago. AWSOME TOOL!!! use to i used a set of 3 prong jaws/ gear puller to get my old props off my 1988 ski natique. but since i bought this tool and it has made a 3 hr job into a few minuit job. i wish i would have bought this years ago.
