The ACME 1285 4 Blade Propeller offers more surface area than comparable 3 blade propellers which means a more efficient transmission of power, higher fuel economy, and more consistent speeds. Thanks to ACME’s continued devotion to push the ski and wakeboard boat propeller industry to new heights inboard props are helping ski and wakeboard boats achieve performances never before seen.
Prior to 1999, ski and wakeboard boat propellers were cast from molds, a process that offered little precision and had severe limitations for the size and shape of the blades. The result was inefficient props with small blade surface area and poor balance which caused vibration in the boat drive train. However, all that changed when ACME introduced CNC machining to the inboard propeller industry. By precision machining its waterski and wakeboard boat propellers ACME is now able to hold tolerances and achieve accuracies never before seen in the inboard propeller industry.
What does that mean for you? The ACME 1285 4 Blade Propeller will perform up to and surpass the standards you expect from the moment you pull it out of the box and put it on your boat.
Acme 1285 on 2006 Mastercraft X2 MCX-Engine
The Prop comes well wrapped in a solid packet.
It was mounted in about 10 minutes and looks awesome.
It tuns A LOT smoother than my stock prop on my X2. Na Vibrations at all..
Gets the Boat on plane with 8 People, Stock Ballast an Fat Sac easily in seconds.
The Wake (Wakeboard and Wakesurf) is sharper.
Only disadvantage: the rpm is higher at least 500rpm and top speed looses 6 mph.
But I would buy it again, the difference to the stock prop is massive.
Please excuse my English!
This prop made a huge difference in how my Mastercraft X2 handles when surfing. All the extra weight from the fat sacs made it hard to steer while surfing and this prop makes that all better! It also comes out of the hole way faster when the bags are filled up. I did loose some top end speed but the trade off is by far worth it.
What a difference this prop makes (Mastercraft X15)
I was running a stock OJ prop. I purchased an additional 2000lbs of ballast from WakeMAKERS. I am pushing nearly 3000lbs of ballast but the boat has a very difficult time getting on plain while wakeboarding. The speed was very difficult to control even with perfect pass. While surfing the boat was hard to steer and wave was inconsistent. I worked with the guys from WakeMAKERS and they recommended the ACME 1285. From the second I took off for the first time I could feel the difference. We filled the ballast to capacity and the boat acted like it didn't even know it had more weight. The boat plained and steered with no effort. Everyone was making gains the first time out. To explain the additional torque you get from this prop, I sometimes waterski for exercise. So I put the ski on and the driver gave the boat the same amount of gas as normal and I could not hang on to the handles. She would just pull them out of my hand. I had to have her pull me out at 25%. The negative is you give up top end. We were doing 32mph and the RPM's were up in the high 4000 to low 5000. If you are looking for a wake and surf prop this is the prop to purchase.
Awesome prop - transformed the performance of my X Star
This prop has made a huge positive change to the hole shot and the ability of the boat to hold speed and has improved my fuel consumption. Would recommend this prop for anyone using a X Star (mine is a 2007) loaded up for boading or wake surfing.
