How It Works
The PiggyBack Ballast System is designed to use the existing pumps, hoses and switches in your Nautique, and expands the capacity of your factory rear ballast tanks from 250lbs. to a maximum of 1,700lbs. per side! This kit includes everything needed for the installation, including a the ballast bag of your choice, prefabricated adapters to connect to the factory system and all of the necessary fittings, hoses and clamps. We even use Fly High's Flow-Rite high quality quick connect system so you can remove the bag easily for cleaning or storage.
As the name implies, this Ballast System Add-On is connected inline with the overflow of the factory ballast tank, allowing it to PiggyBack on the factory system. In the factory configuration when the in-floor hard tank is full excess water is dumped overboard through the vent hose. With the PiggyBack system installed, excess water from the hard tank flows into the Fly High ballast bag, allowing it to fill after the factory tank is full. Once the new bag is full (which means the factory tank is full), excess water will flow out of the overflow of the bag, and through the factory thru-hull connector, allowing the system to function exactly the same as the stock ballast setup, but with the additional capacity of up to 1,450 pounds.
Draining is exactly the opposite; as the factory drain pump remove water from the tank, gravity forces water out of the Fly High bag and into the hard tank until both ballast bag and tank are empty.
Installation
One simple and completely reversible change is required to install the PiggyBack system, and the entire process takes less than 20 minutes.

One of the best upgrade I could have done.
Review by Joe on 7/10/12Price Value Quality No more plugging in pumps and moving people around to get off the sunpad. Fill as I go now. Watch the vacuum IT WILL SUCK YOUR HARD TANK FLAT AND BEND THE SENDING UNIT. Easy fix if you just make sure you have air flow.

Life is easier
Review by Calvin on 5/24/12Price Value Quality I ordered the rear PiggyBack Ballast Upgrade for the two Fly High 750s that I use in a 2010 SANTE 230. The kit is for one bag only so order appropriately. I will be ordering another one!
Less than 30 minutes to install with the hardest part getting the factory hose off the tank and inserting the W746 into it. Three cycles of the factory pump and the bag was almost full. Check to make sure the hoses have enough slack so there is no stress on the sack fitting. They give you enough. Also, when draining the system, make sure there is air flow through the sack. The factory pump is strong enough to damage the tank if a vacuum is created.
I’m keeping the Fly High Pro X Tsunami Ballast Pump that I used to fill the sacks just in case we buy a bag for use in the boat, but not having to stop and mess with it is more time on the water and easier for all of us on the boat.
In the future I would like to see a back to back Flow-Rite Quick Release Connect so I could take out the bag when needed, or move one to the other side for surfing. 1800lbs makes a great surf wake.
NOTE: Thanks for the feedback! We can set you up with the Flow-Rite fittings you need to be able to remove a bag from the boat and still have your factory system function correctly. We don't include them by default with the system, but it's no problem to set up like that, just contact one of our ballast experts by phone or email.

35 minutes till 1,050 lbs in the rear locker.
Review by Michael on 7/13/11Quality Price Value I order this package after speaking with Wavemakers.com on the phone. I was going to use a 400lb but was told that 750lb fat sac will fit in the rear locker on top of the factory tank. This was installed on a 2010 210 Super Air Nautique Team Edition
This was one of the best pieces of information I was told. I was very happy that all the items arrived a day ahead of the shipping estimate. I was able to install this myself using only a 5/8's driver to loosen and tighten the hose clamps. No Issues with the 750 fitting the rear locker either.
I would recommend this upgrade to anyone looking to add more ballast for surfing to a SANTE.

amazing
Review by scott on 5/28/11Quality Price Value We have the enzo sac for our 210 and it sinks the boat down to the perfect level for wakesurfing, along with the integrated arrow sac its the best wake you can get out of it. The only problem is that the water gets stuck under the seat so you have to pull the arm up to push the water in the main area causing the bag to began to rip.
We fixed this problem and it is amazing. I would highly recomend this.
