Adding the perfect amount of weight to a Malibu for Wakesurfing is simple. By placing one extra ballast bag in the rear compartment on the surf side with 400 to 800 extra pounds of water two things will happen. The rear corner of the boat's hull will be displaced deeper and the boat will also list or lean toward the surf side. When this extra ballast is filled in conjunction with the factory ballast system, minus the non-surf side the result is a taller more robust wave.
