The intake of choice for a fully automated wakeboard ballast system, this mushroom style fitting will not force water through the pumps when running at speed, which means your bags won't fill unexpectedly, but offers an incredibly high volume of water so your pumps can fill at full speed, whether the boat is stationary or cruising across the lake.
Available in a range of sizes depending on what type and number of pumps you'll be using, our mushroom intake supports up a mammoth 7,560 gallons/hour of water, making it more than sufficient for use with even the highest capacity
wakeboard ballast pumps.
This thru-hull intake fitting is designed specifically for use below the waterline, and as such, has NPS threads extending from the flange almost to the end of the fitting. Those parallel threads make it possible to securely tighten the retaining ring during installation regardless of the hull thickness.
Unlike other traditional thru-hull fittings that require the use of a bulky and expensive (not to mention overkill for ballast applications) sea-cock, our intakes are custom made to blend to NPT thread at the very end, making it simple to assemble our standard bronze ball valves onto the intake for connection to the rest of the ballast system.
The flange is contoured to accept a bead of marine adhesive for a water-tight seal, and is drawn tight against the outside of the hull by the tightening of the included retaining nut snug against the bilge surface.

Very nice quality
Review by Tom Neston on 5/26/11
I put 2 x 1" Bronze Thru-Hull Intakes in my Sanger V230 recently to build an automated ballast system in. Wakemakers was very helpful in walking me through what parts I needed. The Bronze Thru-Hull Intakes are very nice and are of very high quality. I will definitely be ordering more parts from wakemakers.

Great Quality Through Hull
Review by Chad on 5/9/11
I was looking at other through hull fitting and came to this one of half the cost. So i ordered it. When it came it was of great weight not thin in any way the threads on it were very nice it tightened up nicely. I liked the grove in the back side for the sealant to get a hold on. The only thing that i noticed that i thought it was going to come with as in the picture was the set screw on the nut. that is a nice feature. Other than that i am exptemely happy with this part.

Great fitting but long
Review by John on 5/2/11
The quality of this fitting was great but it is so long it can make installation difficult. I installed Rule 1100 gph pump directly into a gate valve on top of the fitting and I had a hard time finding location that would allow the pump to fit because the fitting came thru the hull by about 1.5 inches. May need a street 90 when installing an aerator pump on this fitting.

Excellent through hull fitting
Review by Tim on 5/2/11
This 1 inch through hull is a very solid hunk of brass. The inside of the fitting has 2 formed lines that made it very easy to hold in place while tightening down the fitting. Combinded with the 3M 4000 it sealed very well.
