When our engineering team sits down to design a new product, the first question we ask is “why is this product important?”. In the case of our industry changing UniversalFIT Rear Locker Ballast bags, the answer to that question was both simple and transformative at the same time; we weren’t happy with the existing one-size fits all approach every other brand had taken. The products that were available weren’t ones that we would use in our own boats, and we knew we could offer better fit, more capacity, and better quality in a wakeboard ballast bag that was purpose built for the application in the United States, and offered in a wide array of sizes.
The result is the WakeMAKERS UniversalFIT Rear Locker Series line of ballast bags. These bags are offered in numerous sizes to give you a nearly perfect fit without the expense of a custom bag. In addition to that, when our team started to look at the rear lockers on most boats, we found common trends of the compartment being wider at the top than the bottom, and a slight taper on the front formed by the rear seat back. We designed the UnversalFIT Rear Locker Bags to match the overall shape for the best possible fit.
