The Women's Ronix Marsh “Mellow” Thrasher Wakesurf board shape is based off of the very popular and expensive Betty Bonifay carbon thruster. If you have ever wondered why popular ocean longboards have a foam top it is due to it's durability, value and how it maximizes rider safety. The Women at Ronix wanted to create a wake surfboard that can take a hit from a falling rider or from the back of the boat when the board is shot forward from a rider. In other words, this is the go-to board for getting your female friends into wakesurfing... it won't break the bank and it won't break your gelcoat.
The female marsh mellow is compression molded with a surf core and soft top. This allows the board to float like a traditional surfboard with amazingly fast glide speed due in part to the hard base technology. Luckily this board can be ridden on small wakes like those behind a direct drive ski boat but it is also fun on giant waves created behind the Portland Spirit.
