Our first shipment of Eight.3 Wakesurf Shapers arrived at our Bend warehouse. To say that we were excited about it would be an understatement. We've known about the Wakesurf Shaper for over 6 months now and after having the opportunity to test it out in August 2015, we were more than ready to offer it in our wakesurf system section.
The Eight.3 Wakesurf Shaper was built with just about every inboard and direct drive boat in mind. It comes with a set of shims, so it's fully adjustable to fit different boat makes and models. From a 2003 Super Air Nautique to a 2015 Mastercraft ProStar and everything in between, the Wakesurf Shaper is a truly versatile product. Don't believe us? Check out this from Pro Waterskier Brooks Wilson where he uses the Wakesurf Shaper on his ski boat.
Although it's not the most technical system out there, it still works exceptionally well on every boat model we've tested. When you compare it to the other options on the market (our WaveControl system $3,999.99) it's a great way to improve your wave, but you are missing out on automation and a lot of other functions.
Being able to evenly weight your boat is one of the main benefits of using the Wakesurf Shaper. You can stop loading up your ballast on one side of the boat and start weighting it evenly. Spreading the weight throughout the boat improves handling and it makes a safer platform for boat passengers.
Another benefit to the Wakesurf Shaper is the ability to easily switch sides. Simply remove the wakesurf shaper by putting pressure on the top of the block and move it to the other side of the boat. It's that simple. Now you can switch between goofy and regular riders in 1/10th of the time it would take to drain your ballast on one side and then fill it up on the other.
Installation of the Wakesurf Shaper is quick, easy and most people can finish upgrading their boat in less than 10 minutes (Eight.3 recommends letting the velcro dry and adhere for 24 hours before using your boat in the water).
The Eight.3 Wakesurf Shaper comes with 2 shims (1" and 2" options), high strength velcro strips and an installation instruction video.
