WakeMAKERS Bronze Mushroom Thru-Hull Intake
The intake of choice for a fully automated wakeboard ballast system, this mushroom style fitting will not force water through the pumps when running at speed, which means your bags won't fill unexpectedly, but offers an incredibly high volume of water so your pumps can fill at full speed, whether the boat is stationary or cruising across the lake.
Available in a range of sizes depending on what type and number of pumps you'll be using, our mushroom intake supports up a mammoth 7,560 gallons/hour of water, making it more than sufficient for use with even the highest capacity wakeboard ballast pumps.

This thru-hull intake fitting is designed specifically for use below the waterline, and as such, has NPS threads extending from the flange almost to the end of the fitting. Those parallel threads make it possible to securely tighten the retaining ring during installation regardless of the hull thickness.
Unlike other traditional thru-hull fittings that require the use of a bulky and expensive (not to mention overkill for ballast applications) sea-cock, our intakes are custom made to blend to NPT thread at the very end, making it simple to assemble our standard bronze ball valves onto the intake for connection to t
1-1/4" thru hull
Solid build, ready to install, nice it has mpt.
Does exactly what you'd think, and exactly what you need...
Something this simple doesn't need a lengthy review. It's solid brass so it won't corrode. It's NPT threaded so it works with anything you want to attach. It comes with a flare nut (others charge extra), though personally I always cut a backing plate to distribute the force over a larger area of the hull. I recommend using a high quality one inch hole saw, this will give you just enough clearance without taking away too much material. Thanks WakeMakers for great products with great support!
These mushroom thru hulls work very well. Follow the how to video on you tube and you should not have any problem. I used the 3M 4200 sealant on mine and was paranoid about possible leaks but when I got the boat in the water and tested it i was pleased to see there was not even a seep. Be sure to use the recommended size hole saw.
Great quality and a must have
Added two of these to my custom ballast install. works great and matches factory equipment. will buy again
Great quality, easy to install
I'm adding another 1" thru-hull to my boat and purchsed the Bronze mushrooom thru-hull again. This is an excellent quality item, no issues, no leaks, easy to install. Wakemakers even provides a link to an easy to follow step by step instructions if you are unsure about drilling into your boat. I used the 3M 4000 adhesive sealer with it.
Good quality part. With the indent it seals very well. No dramas with it leaking.
Well made product
Very well made product and a must have for each of the fill pumps to decrees fill times.
Very solid, installed perfectly, and looks like factory installed
Great item, it is made very solid and installed clean and flush. It looks like is was installed from the factory. Nothing negative to say about it. It is a great product for what it is designed for.
This thing is heavy!
It is heavy duty and looks indestructible. Installed it for my new ballast system and it was easy. Looks factory!
Easy install and looks good
Used the 3/4" on my install. Had two 3/4'inch ones feeding 3 pumps, one feeding two rear bags and separate for front bag. they were running Johnson Impeller Pumps, It seemed to be more than capable of proving enough water for the two pumps when split off.
Before you start installing find something to go inside to hold 'thru hull' to stop it spinning while you tighten. Also make sure you use good Sealer.
Super high quality
The 1 in fitting is well built , it fits so nice in the hull, looks better than factory, very nice and flush to bottom of boat. Great for running two aerator pumps off of this thru hull fitting. The grooves on the inside of the brass fitting made it easier to make the nut tighter on the inside. What more can i say, i know when im driving down river that a high quality piece is under the boat, that i dont have to worry about
Very nice quality
I put 2 x 1" Bronze Thru-Hull Intakes in my Sanger V230 recently to build an automated ballast system in. Wakemakers was very helpful in walking me through what parts I needed. The Bronze Thru-Hull Intakes are very nice and are of very high quality. I will definitely be ordering more parts from wakemakers.
Great Quality Through Hull
I was looking at other through hull fitting and came to this one of half the cost. So i ordered it. When it came it was of great weight not thin in any way the threads on it were very nice it tightened up nicely. I liked the grove in the back side for the sealant to get a hold on. The only thing that i noticed that i thought it was going to come with as in the picture was the set screw on the nut. that is a nice feature. Other than that i am exptemely happy with this part.
Great Through hull
This part is of nice quality, just installed it on my boat and looks factory.
Great fitting but long
The quality of this fitting was great but it is so long it can make installation difficult. I installed Rule 1100 gph pump directly into a gate valve on top of the fitting and I had a hard time finding location that would allow the pump to fit because the fitting came thru the hull by about 1.5 inches. May need a street 90 when installing an aerator pump on this fitting.
Excellent through hull fitting
This 1 inch through hull is a very solid hunk of brass. The inside of the fitting has 2 formed lines that made it very easy to hold in place while tightening down the fitting. Combinded with the 3M 4000 it sealed very well.
Easy to install and looks great.
