Attwood Tsunami 1200 GPH Ballast Pump (Long 1-1/8" Intake)
Additionally, the motor on the Attwood Tsunami 1200GPH is completely sealed, making it a safe choice for use around fuel vapors. The compact size of the T1200 wakeboard ballast pump makes it incredibly flexible from an installation standpoint, and no other similarly sized pump can compare to its output.
ApplicationsFor the most part this pump is best suited for use as a drain pump in an automated ballast system due to the proprietary thread pattern used on its inlet. Here are some examples:
Straight Line Ballast Bags: This pump is best suited for use as a drain pump using our Attwood Drain Pump adapter to utilize the Flow-RIte fitting system. For the fill pump, we recommend using our 1" NPT Attwood Tsunami Pump which is compatible with any standard 1" NPT intake hardware.
Fly High Ballast Bags: This pump is best suited for use as a drain pump using our Attwood Drain Pump adapter to utilize the Flow-RIte fitting system. For the fill pump, we recommend using our 1" NPT Attwood Tsunami Pump which is compatible with any standard 1" NPT intake hardware.
Build Your Own Tsunami: We have a lot of customers use this pump to build their own portable ballast pump to fill and drain bags. Just add some hose, fittings, wire and cigarette lighter adapter, and you're ready to go.
This is the raw component pump designed for use in an automated ballast system. The hose barb adapter is NOT included, but is available separately for use on the inlet of the pump to help facilitate installation (see recommended accessories). The wiring connection is 14" long, and consists of a pair of 16AWG stranded wires.
The threaded inlet extending off the bottom of the pump can be cut to length using a standard hand saw to increase installation options.
NOTE: This pump uses a proprietary 1 1/8" thread pattern that is not found in any other industry. Because of that, it can be difficult to make connections to standard plumbing parts if you do not use either Fly High's Pro X Series W747 Fitting or the Attwood Hosebarb adapter elbow (see recommended accessories for both) we offer.
It works just like it is described.
I bought this pump for my 400 lb fat sacs and it fills/drains them in no time.
Best value for money pump
When designing my ballast system, I opted for Tsunami pumps, specifically the one's with the biggest intake possible, as they allow me to fill my system very fast.
They have without a doubt the best value for money and are very reliable for any system when you decide on aerator pumps.
The only downside to it is the lack of more industry based 1-1/8" accessories.
Note that I bought this pump thinking I could make the threads a MPT. The threads are too big as its a 1.125"
Get the other short model if you want to thread it into a 1"npt fitting.
NOTE: Thanks for clarifying the difference between the two versions of this pump that we sell Phillip. The 1"NPT version that will mate to standard plumbing parts is available here: http://www.wakemakers.com/attwood-tsunami-ballast-pump-1200-short.html

The pump can push a lot of water, low maintenance and is affordable which makes it an easy choice.
Good pump for the money
Is a pretty fast pump. Have had two of them and plan on getting 2 more.
Attwood Tsunami T1200 Pumps Rock
I love the Attwood Tsunami T1200 pumps. I ordered four of these pumps to upgrade the factory pumps on my Supreme wakeboard boat and it decreased my fill times by half. I did reduce the inlet on the pumps to 3/4" hose but it didn't affect the performance. This is a must for any wakeboard boat owner.
Fast Ballast Pump!
Added this ballast pump into my internal ballast system on my Malibu VLX. Durable and fast.
