MasterCraft is set to announce the release of a price point wakeboard boat at 6pm Eastern time today. We are excited to hear what this new boat will do and what it will actually come equipped with.

The lower cost model is nothing new for Mastercraft as they sold the X1, ProStar 205V hull, for many years and in turn attracted a broader base to the brand.

If $50k does indeed land you a decently equipped wakeboard/wakesurf boat, they will be sold out before the first one rolls off of the assembly line. This new model should fit nicely in the lower price point level with Axis and Moomba.

MasterCraft unveiled a boat under what looks to be a giant sheet. The companies first entry level boat series is named the NXT. This brand new hull shape comes in a compact 20-foot length and is built in the same Tennessee factory as the rest of their legendary line of premium towboats. Customers that want to jump into a MasterCraft can do so with small $400 monthly payment.
