Depending on the layout of your system using a tee fitting to split or combine a hose can offer increased flexibility and installation options.
One common use for this 3/4" or 1" hose barb tee fitting is to combine the vent and drain connections from a single bag to a common thru-hull fitting when installing an aerator pump based system. That means you drill one less hole, and save the cost of that thru-hull connector. In that configuration you do need to use a check-valve on the vent connection to prevent drain water from flowing back into the bag during draining.
Ideal for use with high capacity pumps that use 1" connections, this fitting allows for all sorts of flexibility in system design and layout. Commonly used with reversible pump based systems to redirect the flow of water above the waterline during draining.
This tee fitting is a great substitute for a 1" Wye fitting (which doesn't exist), and creates a number of options depending on system layout and design.

This was a great part thanks to wakemakers. I was able to fill and empty two bags at the same time one in front ski locker and one under rear seat in my 1992 Mastercraft prostar205. You guy are the best!
