This adapter is used to connect 1" wakeboard ballast hose to a 3/4" threaded fitting. The most common application is for connecting Jabsco Ballast Puppy pumps to a bronze ball valve in the bilge of the boat.

The hose slid on nicely over the barb, but the barb holds it in place very well. I have no concerns whatsoever of the hose coming off once the hose clamp was in place.
